Like Carrie Bradshaw and most living women today I have a a great appreciation for well made, top quality designer goods.
There are always an easier alternative and definitely a more affordable way to keep up with the latest trends when you find various fun pieces by H&M or Zara. Although there's nothing like the feeling (emotion and touch) of the lambskin leather of a Chanel purse. Just remember; If you're going to spend big money, you would want to find a piece that is timeless, seasonal and chic.
When I go shopping I do admit I find myself getting quiet snobby as I dodge those 'more affordable' shops, yet at the same time a lot of my stand out pieces are from these cheaper alternative stores. It doesn't become a whole pro's and cons list when you try on a crazy 'can I pull this look off' dress.' You can take more risks and try new looks without worrying about your next pay check.
I had this H&M dress sitting in my closet for about 2-3 years, no joke. The dress was too long for my 5'2 (plus 8 inch heels) body. It felt tentish and quiet high maintenance.. Today was the day that it just felt right.
It's a just slip on and look ready kind of dress, it's light and definitely a festive dress for national wine tasting day;) (Feb 18th).
